Our Child Watch Program
Our Child Watch Program provides safe, structured, and Christ-centered care for children ages 5–12 (generally Kindergarten through Grade 6). This program supports families by offering care before and after school, as well as full-day care on most in-service days and school breaks.
Child Watch is designed as a co-curricular extension of Anchor’s elementary program. Students enjoy a balance of:
- Homework time and academic support
- Indoor and outdoor play
- Creative arts and crafts
- Group games and activities
- Opportunities for fellowship and social development
Purpose/Philosophy
A Christ-centered community focused on the growth of the whole child by partnering with families to provide an inclusive environment where children flourish academically, spiritually, socially, and emotionally.
Anchor utilized a Christ-centered Learner Profile as a guide for developing our approach to Universal Design for Learning. We focus on student attributes to nurture students' ability to use various skills, including communication, thinking, self-management, research, and social skills. Furthermore, we encourage mindful approaches to resilience, perseverance, inquiry, and principled and balanced individuals.
