Financial Aid.
Helping Ensure that Families are Able to Give Their Children the Gift of a Christian Education
Anchor Lutheran grants financial aid to families in need, in order to help make attendance at our school possible for a wider range of families. Aid awards are based on an objective, third-party assessment of family need. Generally speaking, if your tuition exceeds 10% of your family’s net monthly income, you should consider applying for financial aid.
How Does This Work - An intentional and integral part of our financial planning at ALS is to provide funds for financial aid. There is no cut-off date for applying, and so long as an applicant successfully completes the application process identifying measurable need, we are able to grant appropriate aid to help bridge the gap between what a family can afford and what full tuition costs. Approximately 40% of our students benefit from some amount of financial aid. There is a small fee for the financial analysis portion of the financial aid application process ($40 for the 2023 enrollment season, the cost of the third-party financial analysis - this fee does not go to Anchor Lutheran), and all applications are kept strictly confidential. This fee is charged by FACTS at the end of applying online. Families are able to apply for aid at any time, even before making a final decision about enrollment.
Application Process
Step 1 - To evaluate a family’s need, a Financial Aid Application must be completed. We have contracted with FACTS to conduct financial need assessments for families. This application process is fair and confidential. The application requires data on a family’s situation, sources and amounts of income, liabilities and expenses, and any special circumstances. To use the FACTS Financial Aid online application, click the link to the right below. First you make an account before going through process of filling out all information requested. You will be guided through the application. Once the online application is completed, you will be directed to mail or fax to FACTS copies of necessary supporting documents. Your application will not be approved until your supporting documents are received and reviewed by FACTS. Do not submit your personal financial documents to the school. Applicants may submit to the school administrator a letter further explaining extenuating circumstances that should be considered.
If you have any questions during the Financial Aid application process, you may reach FACTS at US: 866-441-4637 , Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Central Time (5:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Alaska Time). (https://online.factsmgt.com/aid) and by phone.

Step 2 - The LSAA Finance Committee meets regularly, reviewing financial analysis results received from FACTS and using that information to make objective determinations concerning the aid for which families qualify. No one outside school administration and the Finance Committee is aware of who applies for and/or receives financial aid grants.
Step 3 - The school’s bookkeeper will inform you of the Finance Committee’s decision and discuss arrangements for payment of the remainder of the tuition bill.
Student Eligibility - In order to receive ALS Financial Aid, a student must be enrolled in our K-8 program. Our Financial Aid Program is not available for students enrolled only in Child Care (Preschool) or Child Watch. There are other options through the state for receiving funds to help with Child Care and Child Watch. Contact our Program Director if you’d like more information regarding such options.
Review & Cancellation - The school reserves the right to review and cancel financial aid grants at any time because of changes in a family’s financial resources, residency, marital status, failure to pay any outstanding tuition amounts and/or other charges in a timely fashion, or because of a student’s failure to remain in good standing at the school (academic or behavior).
Online Aid Applications are the preferred method, and result in a faster response. Should you want a paper application instead, contact the help desk at FACTS US: 866-441-4637 or https://online.factsmgt.com/aid .
